What causes this alert/warning?
Applixure Agent detects restart from event log with event codes 6006 (system stop) and 6005 (system start) and reports the difference as restart time. If device restart time is longer than average device restart time for the same device type in the same Applixure environment, an alert is created.
Threshold values
Restart takes more than 2 times longer than median for hardware type.
How should I react?
Slow restart times can indicate that there might be some service or a process that refuses to shut down.
If your Windows 10 computer is taking forever to restart, try the following suggestions:
- Update your Windows OS and all the installed software, including the Device Drivers.
- Troubleshoot in Clean Boot State
- Run the Performance/Maintenance Troubleshooters
- Check the Power Settings
Which resources are effected?
In devices dashboard clicking the alert name, in alert list, filters the dashboard device list to contain all devices with the same alert.
Clicking 'Show more' link in the alert box expands the container to show the list of all affected devices.
