What causes this alert/warning?

This alarm is caused by having large operating system version sprawl for the physical workstation devices in your environment, with different operating system major or revision versions presently in use for a given operating system type.

Threshold values

More than 3 versions of the same operating system type (Windows or Mac). With Windows 10, each release version (1909, 20H2 etc.) counts as separate version.

How should I react?

Having very fragmented operating system versions can affect software serviceability, manageability and make support and troubleshooting more difficult.

Which resources are affected?

In devices dashboard clicking the alert name, in alert list, filters the dashboard device list to contain all devices with the same alert.

Clicking 'Show more' link in the alert box expands the container to show the list of all affected devices.
