What causes this alert/warning?
Software hang means the situation where application hangs totally. Windows automatically detects, collects debug information, and optionally terminates or restarts hung applications. Otherwise, the user might have to forcefully close it in order to recover a hung application.
Applixure Agent is monitoring event log and this Alarm is generated when Application Hang event, event code 1002, is detected.
Software hangs widely means that the error is happening in a large number of devices. Percentage depends the amount of devices in the environment.
- Total devices < 100, percentage of devices > 5%
- Total devices 101 - 500, percentage of devices > 3%
- Total devices 501 - 2500, percentage of devices > 2%
- Total devices 2501 - 5000, percentage of devices > 1%
- Total devices more than 5000, percentage of devices > 0.4%
How should I react?
From Event log it's might be possible to find out the cause of the software hang.
Report this error to the software manufacturer or check if there is a updated version of the software.
Which resources are effected?
In software dashboard clicking the alert name, in alert list, filters the dashboard software list to contain all software with the same alert.
Clicking 'Show more' link in the alert box expands the container to show the list of software with the same alert. Under each software there is list of all affected devices.
